Atlanta Contemporary is seeking retail vendors to produce a long-term pop-up experience in our SHOP. We currently have two spaces for rent for our fall exhibition cycle. The residency duration is October 24, 2024 - February 2, 2025. Each resident will have the opportunity to decorate the space in their branding, including painting walls, hanging decor, etc. 

During this residency, the following is expected of each resident:

• Maintain a well-stocked inventory of merchandise 
• Activate the SHOP once per month to bring your audience into Atlanta Contemporary
• Promote Atlanta Contemporary and your presence here to encourage visitors
• Be present in the SHOP area for at least one day per week 

Rental Structure:

• Rent: $750/mo
• Commission split: 25% to Atlanta Contemporary; 75% to Resident
• Commissions will be paid out at the end of each month
• All merchandise will be input into Atlanta Contemporary's Square Point of Sale and managed by AC staff and interns

Applications are due October 20, 2024. Decisions will be sent out October 21, 2024. The Resident is expected to be installed and ready for sales by 5pm on October 24, 2024. 

Atlanta Contemporary (AC) is pleased to request applications for studio spaces in our Studio Artist Program (SAP).

The Studio Artist Program supports a diverse range of disciplines including ceramics, film & video, installation, painting, performance, photography, and sculpture. Atlanta Contemporary offers artists private workspace at a subsidized rate as well as opportunities for dialogue about contemporary art through free public programs, a professional resource in independent curators, and an ever-growing community amongst current and prior participants in the program.

Studios range in size from 224 to 755 square feet; each space is unique. Rental rates include 24/7 access, climatization, utilities, parking, and Wi-Fi. Studio entrances are located within a secure courtyard next to a parking lot reserved for program participants.

   Leases are annual with the option to renew no more than 2 times. Atlanta Contemporary reserves the right to deny renewal request.

Selected Policies

• Artist must reside in Georgia for the duration of their lease.
• Selected artists are expected to work in their studios on a consistent and ongoing basis.
• Artists have 24-hour access to the studios and are invited to engage with the exhibitions and programs on view and available at Atlanta Contemporary.
• Studios are work spaces - not living spaces, salesrooms, or offices.
• Standard studio-practice safety procedures apply, including a no smoking policy.
• Atlanta Contemporary does not promise an exhibition in any of our galleries or project spaces.
• Artists are expected to have their studios open to the public approximately 3x per year - ART PARTY and Open Studios (2x per year)
• Studio Artists are required to adhere to the policies and procedures listed in the SAP handbook and lease
